Fire Risk Assessment

The purpose of the assessment is simple: to identify the fire precautions required to protect people from fire. This not only includes people on the premises, but also those in the vicinity of the premises who may be affected by fire.

Failure to comply with the RRO can lead to hefty fines and even imprisonment. If you haven't conducted a fire risk assessment for your premises, the time to act is NOW.

The regime is risk assessment based with responsibility for the fire safety of the occupants of premises and people who might be affected by fire resting with a defined person.

The Fire Risk Assessment (FRA) is designed to address the specific requirements of your premises and will meet all the requirements of the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005. All our assessments are qualitative in design and format and meet;

• The 5 step risk assessment process as recommended by the Health and Safety Executive

• The recommendations of PAS 79:2007 - Publicly Available Specification-  Fire Risk Assessments Guidance and a Recommended Methodology

• And, perhaps most importantly, they are designed to address all the areas scrutinized by the Audit process used by the Fire Service.

The Significant Findings are given a Hazard Priority Rating which indicates the timescale within which you should take the action to address the finding.

Using this assessment process, combined with many years of fire safety experience, ensures that our clients' premises are adequately assessed for fire risks to life and, where appropriate, property and business continuity.

This ensures that our clients receive a ‘suitable & sufficient’ FRA, one that meets their legislative duties, organisational requirements, and quality aspirations.

Consultation is available following the fire risk assessment to discuss any significant findings and required actions identified within the FRA to achieve a satisfactory standard of fire safety within the premises.

At Fire Safety Solutions we use our expertise to ensure that our fire risk assessments meet legal requirements, whilst not placing an unnecessary burden on your business.
